Phonic Screening and National Tests

• Year 1 completed an informal phonics screening test in the summer term. The test is an assessment of your child’s ability to use phonics for reading and to assess whether they are making good progress. Year 2 will complete this statutory test in the autumn term.

• Year 2 will complete statutory assessments in maths and English in May. More details will be provided nearer the time.
