Homework Expectations

• Homework will consist of learning spellings for the weekly test, regular reading of their school reading book and DoodleMaths. If we feel at any point during the year that certain children need extra homework for support in a specific area of learning, we will contact you separately to discuss this. If your child has special educational needs and we feel the homework requirements need adjusting for them, we will contact you separately.

• DoodleMaths is expected to be done on three separate occasions across each week. A minimum of 30 stars are to be achieved. If we feel some children need this weekly allowance adjusting, we will contact you separately to discuss this.

• Spellings will be tested weekly on a Friday. The weekly spellings are displayed in a separate 'yellow' spelling booklet labelled, ‘Home School Spelling Booklet’. 

• Reading regularly at home is essential. Please continue to support with regular reading at home at least 4 times each week. We will look through their blue ‘Home/School Record’ booklet daily to check their home reading.
