P.E. in Year 6
Year 6 have P.E. on Tuesday afternoons.
Remember that your child will need shorts and a t-shirt for indoor P.E. lessons, as well as a separate tracksuit kit with outdoor trainers for outside games. Please ensure that P.E. kit is appropriate for school wear. Football and rugby shirts are not considered appropriate kit for school P.E. sessions. Anyone without the proper kit will not be able to participate in P.E. lessons.
Please ensure all clothing, and other items brought into school are clearly labelled. It would be helpful if P.E. kits can be brought into school on Mondays and left in school all week in case children have extra P.E. sessions from coaches throughout the week.
Currently all P.E. lessons will be taking place outside and so children will need outdoor kits.
Spring Term 1
This half term in PE, we are learning about Body Management. Our learning outcome is to complete a variety of gymnastic positions with accuracy and control. We are also linking gymnastic positions to create a sequence and perform it. We have learnt that to keep a static position, we need to be focused, still and show control and tension.
Here are some pictures of us balancing. We also challenged ourselves by using a beanbag or a tennis ball to balance on different parts of our body.
